The weather was a mild 50 degrees which really boosted the attendance to just over 23,000 attendees. Along with a booth full of recently available and soon-to-be available models, Athearn made an announcement live of the brand new Athearn Genesis HO and N scale FreightCar America’s Versacoil. This modern coil car was a huge hit with those in attendance as well as those who watched the live feed. Jon also brought along some much-anticipated samples such as a brand-new model, the Athearn HO 60’ Container, the newly re-tooled Athearn HO FMC 5347 boxcar, and the recently re-tooled Athearn Roundhouse F7.
