HO RTR 40' Double Door Box, GN/Circus #3484

Great Northern #3484 is a 40' double door boxcar painted mineral red with white lettering, large Great Northern with Empire Builder font on the right side and a small GN logo on the left. The trucks are mineral red with yellow journal covers.

In 1956 the Great Northern railway painted ten 40' boxcars in experimental paint schemes and sent them around the railroad's system for employee and shipper input. Some of the paint schemes were incredibly loud and garish (for the day), thus earning them the moniker "Circus Cars".
